QR Payment Replaces Traditional Card Payment

Customer needs to retrofit traditional contact card payment systems into QR payment. The QR reader module must meet the signal requirements of the existing card system, including three essential signals:

• card present
• strobe
• data

while also complying with the defined timing specifications.

For this project, we use the HW-1570S model, which provides enough I/O ports to handle additional signals. Development and testing have been completed, and mass production is scheduled to begin in May this year, with a total planned installation volume of 50,000–60,000 pieces.

As QR payment continues to expand globally—especially in China's Belt and Road Initiative countries, where adoption is growing rapidly—more and more traditional payment systems are expected to enter the upgrade and retrofit phase.
