What is the IP protection level of the barcode scanner?

IP is the abbreviation of the English name Ingress Protection, which is the protection level. Its standard was drafted by IEC, and the purpose is to classify electrical appliances and other equipment according to their dustproof and waterproof characteristics.

The IP protection level is composed of two numbers. The marking rule is IP+AB. The first marked number A represents the level of the electrical appliance against dust and foreign objects intrusion, and the second marked number B represents the electrical appliance against moisture and waterproof intrusion. 4 Prevent the intrusion of solid foreign objects larger than 1.0mm; prevent the intrusion of tools, wires and similar small foreign objects with a diameter or thickness larger than 1.0mm and contact the internal parts of the electrical appliance.

5 Completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects;Although it cannot completely prevent the intrusion of dust, the amount of intruded dust will not affect the normal operation of the electrical appliance.

6 Completely prevent the intrusion of foreign objects and dust.

(2)Waterproof grade (the second marked number)

0 No protection; No special protection against water and moisture.

1 Prevent the intrusion of water droplets; vertically falling water droplets (such as condensed water) will not cause damage to the electrical appliance;

2 When tilted at 15 degrees, it can still prevent water droplets from invading. When the appliance is tilted from vertical to 15 degrees, dripping water will not cause damage to the appliance.

3 Prevent the intrusion of sprayed water; prevent rain or prevent the water sprayed in the direction with an angle of less than 60 degrees from the vertical from invading the electrical appliance and causing damage.

4 Prevent splashing water from invading; prevent water splashing from all directions from invading the electrical appliance and causing damage.

5 Prevent the intrusion of water jets; prevent water from all directions from entering the electrical appliance and cause damage.

6 Prevent the intrusion of large waves; electrical appliances installed on the deck can prevent damage caused by the intrusion of large waves.

7 Prevent the intrusion of water when immersed in water; if the electrical appliance is intruded in the water for a certain period of time or the water pressure is below a certain standard, it can ensure that it will not be damaged due to the intrusion of water.

8 Prevent the intrusion of water during submersion; the appliance is submerged under the specified water pressure indefinitely, which can ensure no damage due to water intrusion.
