HW-1560D Barcode Scanner Module Enters Mass Production for Gas Station and Parking Self-Service Payment Systems

Honor Way’s HW-1560D embedded barcode scanner module has officially entered mass production for self-service payment equipment used in gas stations and parking lots.

In early 2026, a customer requested a scanner module capable of reading a 40 mm QR code with 22 bytes on a smartphone screen under direct sunlight, from a minimum distance of 450 mm. In response, Honor Way engineers adjusted the camera focal length, evaluated different image sensors and main control chips, and added light-shielding treatment around the camera opening in the housing. The final configuration, based on the HW-1560D, met the customer’s requirements. After sample testing, the customer confirmed that the configuration was suitable for the application.

In April 2026, the project entered the small-batch validation phase. Thirty different gas stations and parking lots were selected for on-site field testing. The module was tested under different lighting directions, operating temperatures, and by different users. The validation phase lasted four months, and the solution was confirmed feasible for mass production.

In early September 2026, the project entered initial mass production with a 1,000-unit (1K pcs) run. During production, assembly, and pilot deployment, the team continuously identified and resolved detailed issues. The HW-1560D barcode scanner module also reached its first 1K pcs delivery. To ensure product quality, Honor Way performed scenario-based testing on every unit—testing each product under sunlight. The results showed a 99.8% yield rate, meeting the yield target for the first mass-production run.

This is only the beginning. The project is expected to total 20,000 units (20K pcs).
