HW-1880M Fixed Passport OCR MRZ QR reader is a fixed module that can support barcode, 2D QR and MRZ code on passport/ID card. Using laser sight, white LED fill light, with very good performance.

It adopts a 1-megapixel camera.If the user reads the passport, he needs to select it.If the user reads the ID card, he can choose the 0.3MP HW-1880N, because the MRZ code of the passport is longer, covering the entire MRZ requires a longer reading distance. 1MP can shoot clearly, but 0.3MP can't shoot clearly. Although the MRZ of ID card has 3 lines, it is shorter, and 0.3MP can shoot clearly. Please consider this when choosing.

Some passports have a layer of waterproof light-transmitting film on the surface. When encountering strong light or white LED fill light, when the reader is at an angle perpendicular to the passport, light reflection will appear on the surface of the passport, which makes it impossible to read normally.  The angle formed by the beam and the passport can be adjusted from 90° to 85° for better results. For passports/ID cards without a waterproof membrane on the surface, the tilt angle is not required.
