HW-1264 ocr mrz qr scanner module is a small engine supporting OCR and barcode decoding technology, which can identify MRZ code on passports and ID cards, 1D barcodes, 2D QR Aztec, datamtrix, PDF417 code etc.

This mini module includes a complete hardware, software and output interface, no need to install other drivers or software. Developers only need to receive and process the data output by their 12Pin FFC cable, and then they can be applied in real life, such as handheld terminals and self-service devices; users only need to place barcodes or ID cards/passports in the scan window, and keep reasonable distance, it can parse out the corresponding data.

HW-1264 is equipped with 1MP camera and 1.3GHz processor, which has the advantage of high performance.It can recognize MRZ codes on passports, high-density barcodes and 2D codes. HW-1264R uses 0.3MP camera and 1GHz MCU, which can be used for identification of MRZ code on ID card (shorter than MRZ code on passport).

Usually, HW-1264 is used for handheld devices that trigger scanning by pressing buttons, HW-1264 is used for self-service devices that require automatic sensing functions, of course, 1MP can also be used for handheld devices, 0.3MP also has automatic sensing functions, everything Depends on the developer's choice.
